Resident Spotlight: Larry P

Apr 21, 2021

Our residents, their stories, their lives, their histories; this is what matters most to us here at Hidden Springs. Within these walls exists the story of a man; a man who enlisted in the Army and for the next 26 years, saw several active tours of duty in Vietnam and the Gulf War, won a multitude of badges during that time and retired with the rank of Colonel. He met the love of his life on an airplane and never forgets to tell everyone he meets! He spent years in investment banking, then became a Master Gardener in his retirement and continues to garden every chance he gets. And while he faces the challenges of memory loss, he has met each day and continues to meet each day with a smile and fighting spirit.

We forget sometimes that our residents, through their stories, through their experiences, give as much to us as we do to them. In this case, we have been given a name. A name we are proud to give to our Memory Care Neighborhood here at Hidden Springs. We are so honored to be opening “Larry’s Garden”, named after our resident, Larry P., one of our very first residents and a man that has captured our hearts. Thank you Larry and we will wear your name with honor.
